Harvest Coffee Morning
We will be having our ‘Harvest Coffee Morning’ on Friday 30th September. On Wednesday 28th September and Thursday 29th September (first thing in the morning only) we will be asking for donations of cakes and biscuits to be brought into the school. Then, during the morning of September 30th you are invited to join your child/children for morning coffee and refreshments during an allocated time. You will be asked to make a donation to charity in exchange for your refreshments. The time slots when you can join your child are listed below but, obviously, if you have children in more than one class you choose the slot that is most convenient for you.
9.30 – 10.00am – Years 3 & 4
10.00 -10.30am – Nursery & Reception
10.30 -11.00am – Years 5 & 6
11.00 – 11.30am – Years 1 & 2
If you send your cake or biscuit donations in a Tupperware container or tin, please remember to put a named label on it so we can return it to you after the event. If you are unable to attend, your child will join their class teacher for refreshments during their allocated time.
May I also ask that if you are attending the coffee morning you do not park your car in the church car park as this causes problems for people attending courses in the church hall. Little Heath parents are only supposed to park in the church car park during the morning drop off and when picking their children up at the end of the school day.
It has been brought to my attention (again) that children are playing on the KS1 equipment after they have been dismissed from class, even though we have a sign up requesting that this should not happen. May I ask all parents of Foundation and KS1 children not to allow their children to do this? It can get very busy at the end of the day and the equipment can get very crowded which greatly increases the risk of there being an accident. We do not want a child to get badly hurt before you take our request seriously.
Please remember that the school photographer will be in school on the morning of Wednesday, 28th September to take individual and family photographs of the children.
You may want to make sure that your children are extra ’clean and shiny’ on that day.
Did you know that you can now make payments to school via credit or debit card? We have introduced a new service ‘School Gateway’, which means that you can make online payments via the School Gateway smartphone app or website. You will be able to view school meal balances and top them up at any time.
If you have a smartphone, please download School Gateway from your app store. The app shows the same information as the website PLUS you can send app messages to the school for free – this will also save the school money when we send text messages. Alternatively, you can visit the website www.schoolgateway.com and click on ‘New User’. You will receive a text message with a PIN number. Use this PIN to log in to School Gateway.
We will notify you by text or email when new items are available for payment.
If you can’t access your account, it may be because school does not have your most up to date email and telephone number on record. Please get in touch and we will update your details on our system.
We hope that you will find School Gateway to be a fast and easy way to pay for your school items.
