Winter Uniform

May I remind everyone that after half term Key Stage 2 (Years 3-6) must be in winter uniform. This involves them wearing a tie all of the time which some of the pupils seem to forget so if you could check that they are in their correct uniform every morning that would be very much appreciated. The children also need to remember to fasten the top button of their shirt and have their shirt tucked into their skirt or trousers.

Bonfire Night

Remember that we are holding our annual bonfire night on Saturday, November 5th. Gates open at 6.00pm. A form has already been sent to you to enable you to purchase tickets but if you have lost the letter we do have spare paper copies of the order form available from the school office. You will also be able to purchase tickets on the day from a stall in Darkes Lane or at the gate on the evening although there are limited places and it is always better to be ‘safe than sorry’

Harvest Festival

At our Harvest Festival which we held on September 30th we raised an impressive £516 from the donations that we received. We are splitting this between two charities which are the ‘Pulmonary Hypertension Association’ and ‘Water Aid’. This is an amazing amount of money to raise at a cake sale and I would like to thank everyone who made this possible by donating and buying cakes.

School Gateway

Have you downloaded the ‘School Gateway’ App?  This will allow you to make payments to school via credit or debit card?  We have introduced a new service ‘School Gateway’, which means that you can make online payments via the School Gateway smartphone app or website.  You will be able to view school meal balances and top them up at any time.

And finally……………….

I hope you all have a great half term and I look forward to seeing you all again on Monday, 31st October.

Yours sincerely
