After working at the school for 9 years, Mrs Clarke will be leaving the school at the end of the month. We will really miss and would like to thank her for all she has done for the school, both in her role as a teaching assistant and as a staff governor. I know you will join with me in wishing her well in the future. She will be replaced by a lady called Mrs Alamadadi.
Dame Alice Owen
Dame Alice Owen are consulting on their 2018/2019 admissions arrangements and have asked us to include the following statement in our newsletter:

Following the end of the consultation period the Governors will meet to consider any comments received and finalise the arrangements accordingly.
On Saturday, 5th November, in conjunction with the Rotary Club, we held our annual Bonfire Night. It was one of the biggest attendances that we have ever and so hopefully we will have raised a lot of money for the school. As we run this event with the rotary it takes a while to work out exactly how much money is raised but as soon as we find out I will let you all know.
I would like to give special thanks to all the members of the PTA who helped to organise the Bonfire Night and also to all the volunteers who helped them over the weekend. Without the support of the parent body we would not be able to run such functions and raise all the money that we do for essential resources for the school.
Just like Dame Alice Owens Little Heath are also consulting on our admissions arrangements for 2018/2019. On Friday, November 25th the PTA are holding a non-uniform day. In exchange for not wearing their uniform the children will have to bring in donations of chocolate and wine for the ‘Christmas Café’ event which will be on the following Friday (December 2nd). More details of both events will follow shortly in a letter from the PTA.
Children in Need
Friday, 18th November is ‘Children in Need’ day. As we ask for a lot of donations at this time of year we do not make a big fuss of ‘Children in Need’ but we always hold a small change collection to donate to the charity which we will be doing again this year. Two girls in Year 5 have also organised a ’Guess How Many Sweets are in the Jar’ and they will be doing this on Friday. If your child wants to have a guess it will be 20p a go. All proceeds from this will also go to ‘Children in Need’.
Have you downloaded the ‘School Gateway’ App? We currently have only 40% of parents registered on ‘School Gateway’ and only 26% or parents using the app.
If you have a smartphone, please download ‘School Gateway’ from your app store. The app shows the same information as the website PLUS you can send app messages to the school for free – this will also save the school money when we send text messages.
Alternatively, you can visit the website www.schoolgateway.com and click on ‘New User’. You will receive a text message with a PIN number. Use this PIN to log in to School Gateway.
