Meet the Teacher’

We have decided to hold our ‘Meet the Teacher’ sessions before the end of term so that parents can be informed of the expectations of the coming year before it starts. These meetings will take place on Tuesday, July 18th.This is an informal meeting where the teacher will give a brief talk about classroom procedures and expectations and there will be opportunities afterwards to chat with the teacher. You will receive a letter on July 13th informing you of who your child’s class teacher will be for the next academic year. There will be two sessions during the evening for parents to attend. One will begin at 4.30pm and the second will commence at 6.00pm. Parents are only expected to attend one session.
The meetings are for parents only. Children are not allowed in the classrooms and are also not allowed to be left in the building unattended.  Unfortunately, last year one or two parents did bring their children and were unable to attend the sessions. However, ‘Kids & Clubs’ have offered to look after any children for parents who attend the 4.30pm meeting for a one off payment. If you would like to book a place for your child please let them know by Friday, 14th July so they can ensure they have the required number of staff. The number for ‘Kids N Clubs’ is 07887836456.
For those that cannot attend either session, all the information provided will be put on the class blogs for parents to access at their convenience.

Young Enterprise Day

Year 6 will be holding their end of year enterprise day on Friday 14thJuly.  They have been busy devising events and stalls to attract the children in order to both experience being part of the commercial world, and to make money for their chosen charities.  All the children will be able to see the stalls on Friday morning, but if they would like to buy some of the year 6 products they will need to bring in some small change.

Big Maths Day

Just a reminder that it is our ’Big Maths Day’ is on Wednesday 12th July. Your allocated slots were sent in an earlier letter although if you have children in two classes you can pick the slot that is most convenient for you or you can come to the after school session which runs until 4.00pm.
