Red Nose Day – March 24 th 2017 We have started selling the noses for ‘Red Nose Day’ next week which is on Friday, March 24 th As I mentioned in my newsletter last week it will be a non-uniform day for the children but they must wear something red –even if it is just their red nose. As long as they have their red nose on the day they will not have to pay a penance for not wearing uniform – otherwise they have to pay a least a pound which will be donated to the ‘Red Nose Day’ fund. We would love for parents to join us but to do so you must make…

Year 3 Teacher As you know Mrs Costi is expecting a baby and will be starting her maternity leave at the end of February. The teacher we have appointed to cover her absence is Ms Pavlova. She will be in Year 3 with Mrs Costi all next week so she can get to meet the children and become familiar with their routines and learning. Foundation Building I am delighted to announce that after much waiting we are having the nursery building replaced with a new foundation building (this means that it will be the setting for both nursery and reception children). They are starting work at the beginning of the Easter holidays and should be finished by May 26th. We are really excited about this and I know that it will be a great addition to the school. PE Kit As I mentioned in my blog on Friday it has…

Winter Uniform May I remind everyone that after half term Key Stage 2 (Years 3-6) must be in winter uniform. This involves them wearing a tie all of the time which some of the pupils seem to forget so if you could check that they are in their correct uniform every morning that would be very much appreciated. The children also need to remember to fasten the top button of their shirt and have their shirt tucked into their skirt or trousers. Bonfire Night Remember that we are holding our annual bonfire night on Saturday, November 5th. Gates open at 6.00pm. A form has already been sent to you to enable you to purchase tickets but if you have lost the letter we do have spare paper copies of the order form available from the school office. You will also be able to purchase tickets on the day from a…
