Happy Shoesday’ As many of you know the school participates in the ‘WOW’ initiative which encourages the children to walk to school at least once a week. If they walk to school at least once a week for a month they receive a badge to add to their collection. Next week, to encourage them to walk to school more frequently we are participating in the ‘Happy Shoesday’ event. To take part in this the children are allowed to wear any shoes they like to walk to school on Tuesday, 17th May and they can keep them on for the whole day if they pay a penalty of a £1. The money will be collected and used to help ‘Living Streets’ run more ‘Walk to School ‘ campaigns to help keep children happy and safe.
